Description:
- Freedom in a Cup
- A rare unique flavour, exactly as old as Independent India, is all set to brew in your teacup.
- On this special occasion of India’s 78th year of Independence, Makaibari brings to you a piece of history. Verleni 47 is a section of Makaibari that was planted in the year that India got its independence in 1947. The section has planted a tea area of 3.64 ha since 1947.
- The Freedom Edition comes from some of the oldest tea bushes in the Makaibari gardens that were planted in 1947 - the year India finally became independent from colonial rule.
- Harvested from Chinery tea bushes, coming right out of the monsoon rains, this brew comes with second flush characteristics of a full-bodied cup, excellent briskness, and a hint of sweet muscatel grapes. The tea has a beautiful appearance and a toasty aroma that will delight tea lovers worldwide.
- The 78th year of Independence marks 77 years of freedom.
